The company

Little Language Models is an information architecture consultancy in Vienna helping companies with thousands of users create intuitive navigation structures and clear product content.

Every day, we depend on the digital interfaces of countless products and services, yet many of them remain frustrating and difficult to navigate. The mission: reduce friction and frustration for people navigating the web.

Little Language Models is transforming platforms, puzzling → powerful, through consulting, speaking at local events, and a free weekly information architecture newsletter.

The founder

I’m Delfina Hoxha, the founder of Little Language Models. I’ve helped 30+ companies create intuitive navigation structures and clear product content.

Before founding Little Language Models, I led content strategy for leading agencies, tech startups, and the largest national C2C listings platform. My work for Harvard Law Review was nominated for a Webby Award and my content test contributed to achieving a new daily active users record for the leading Food & Drink app in Albania. Before Content™️, I studied psychology and interned at a psychiatric clinic. I live in beautiful Vienna, hate Irish pubs, love reading, and am named after dolphins.

Information architecture

In 2025, after leaving my full-time lead content designer role, I chose to create Little Language Models, one of the few information architecture consultancies in the world, because I saw firsthand the key role content architecture plays in creating tangible improvements for users and businesses.

Information architecture (IA) is the practice of structuring information. Information architecture can heavily affect how a user views a system, whether that’s a website or a language model.

Good information architecture increases user engagement by increasing feature clarity and task completion, increases conversion rates by transforming confusing mazes into intuitive resources, reduces annual content management costs by reducing redundant information and using structured content modeling, and reduces support tickets by using labels and groupings that match user language.

The name

ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI chatbots are based on Large Language Models (LLMs). LLMs are machine learning models designed to understand and generate human language by analyzing extensive text datasets.

The name of the business playfully contrasts with AI’s large language models, emphasizing a minimalist approach to information architecture that prioritizes key user tasks and business effectiveness.

Little Language Models challenges the “bigger is better” mindset. In a recent study, researchers found that our brains prefer addition over subtraction, often completely ignoring the option of removing instead of adding. Our instinct to add rather than remove presents missed opportunities for improvement. I do things differently around here. The business is founded on the principle that when it comes to content, service offerings, and client relationships, less is more.
